January 2010 Dear Friends, The Long Island Museum’s exhibition galleries will be closed to the public during January and February 2010.  During this time, the museum will be completing two major new galleries in the Carriage Museum, and making facility upgrades there as well.  We will also be installing America’s Kitchens, an exhibition on the changing role of the kitchen in American culture. Although the galleries will not be open to the public in January and February, all museum business, including our education programs, will continue as usual.  Please excuse any inconvenience while we are making these important changes.  We look forward to welcoming you back in March.  In the meantime, be sure to contact the museum with any questions, and check back at this site for additional updates.
