Family Drop-In Day

Vacation Venture: Pop Art in Fashion

Students in grades 2 through 4 will learn how Pop Artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and others influenced fashion over the decades.  Museum educators will teach students how to create their own wearable designs. Includes story and project inspired by different artists' techniques. Discounted for museum members.  Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Cost includes all materials.

Home School Day

Join us for this exciting opportunity for homeschool families. Through tours, art-making and hands-on activities, the day will encourage families to explore current exhibitions and gain a deeper understanding of the lives of Long Islanders of a bygone era. Mother’s Day

Book Club

Students in grades 4 through 6 and their families will take a guided tour through the exhibition, Midnight Rum:  Long Island and Prohibition.  Afterward, join Emma Clark librarians for a discussion of Black Duck by Janet Taylor Lisle.  Register in person and pick up the book at the library beginning April 22.  This program is free; pre-registration is required.
