Afternoons@LIM – Art-Making Workshop
December 4 @ 2:00 pm
Afternoons@LIM is an In The Moment program designed to creatively engage those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss and their care partners.
Join us for an art-making workshop where we’ll draw inspiration from LIM’s current exhibition, Fire Island: The Art of Liberation, taking inspiration from Flags, Fire Island, 2024, created by artists Joe McShea and Edgar Mosa using footage of flag sculptures they created on the island, as well as scenes of nature from around the community of Fire Island Pines. We’ll explore their beautiful work and create our own flags using multimedia.
All are welcome. No art experience needed! This program is offered at no charge due to a generous anonymous gift.
Space is limited & preregistration is required. To reserve your spot or for more information please call (631) 751-0066 x212 or email educators@longislandmuseum.org
