CONTEXT 2 CONTENT (Im)Material Girls of Epic & Contemporary South Asia

Experience over 4,000 years of non-binary and queer representation throughout epic & contemporary South Asian art & culture via traditional Hindu and modern Bharatanatyam dance, Indian drag performance, music, cuisine, participatory art-making, and a panel discussion, as envisioned by South Asian American interdisciplinary artist, Anu Annam.

Featuring: Jaishiri Abichandani (C2C Curatorial Advisor, sculptor/curator), Puneeta Mittal (live sculptor and educator), Sonali Skandan (Indian dancer). Mohan Kulasingam (Indian dancer). Kareem Kubchandani (MDPhD Gender Scholar and drag artist advisor), and Malai (drag artist, panel moderator).

This is a reservation-only event that is FREE with an option to donate to the project.
