FILM @ LIM “Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf” Screening and Talk | FREE
September 4 @ 7:00 pm
The Port Jefferson Arts Council and the Long Island Museum have joined forces to bring films to our community that touch upon a variety of topics. This September, join us for a free screening of Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf (2018) directed by Thomas Piper.
An immersive and complex documentary exploring the work of the world’s most celebrated garden designer, the film offers a rare look into his creative process and tours his iconic public works, including New York’s High Line. Soon, Long Island will experience Oudolf’s genius firsthand with a new garden planned at Planting Fields.
Following the screening, join us for an engaging panel discussion with Andrew Thomas, Architectural Designer; Kayal Serina, Program Coordinator at Paul Simons Foundation, Avalon Nature Preserve; and Kayla Cheshire, Communications and Marketing Manager, Planting Fields Foundation.
LOCATION
The screening and talk will take place in the Gillespie Room located in the Carriage Museum.
