Second Saturdays
On the second Saturday of each month, families are welcome to drop in anytime between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to join educators and participate in a hands-on activity or art project inspired by exhibitions on view.
No registration required. Included with museum admission.

Learn Bookbinding | Workshop

Join Joan Murray for a hands-on Bookbinding Class! Like books? Like to sew? This class is for you! You can choose the book materials and binding stitch that works best for you. We’ll create beautifully crafted books that showcase your style. Perfect for tweens, teens, and adults who are artists, writers, or looking to explore a new skill.
All materials will be provided with a $5 materials fee (cash-only) to be collected on the day of the workshop.
Visitors who pre-register get complimentary admission on 10/3 to explore LIM’s Gatsby at 100 and other exhibitions. Check in at the Visitors Center to get your Museum Pass.
Halloween Family Fun Day | FREE
October 26 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Come in costume and enjoy pumpkin painting, crafts, gallery exploration, and shows “Spin, Pop, Boom” by Mad Science Long Island and “Backyard Wildlife” from Sweetbriar Nature Center! Please bring a non-perishable food donation for a food drive with Agape Meals for Kids, who provide easy and nutritious meals to food-insecure school children across Long Island.
