Junk Journaling Workshop
May 8 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Get creative in this hands-on workshop where you’ll transform repurposed and found materials—such as old papers, ticket stubs, magazine clippings, fabric scraps, and ephemera—into a one-of-a-kind handmade journal. Junk journaling encourages artistic expression through a playful, non-perfectionist approach to art and memory keeping.
Starter journals and supplies will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own composition book, old planner, blank journal, and any personal ephemera (photos, special papers, fabric scraps, etc.) to customize their journal. Perfect for tweens, teens, and adults looking for a fun way to upcycle old materials.
REGISTRATION
A $5 materials fee is required (payable by cash or credit card at the door; all materials provided). Space is limited; pre-registration is requested.
Visitors who pre-register receive complimentary museum admission to explore LIM’s exhibitions—check in at the Visitors Center to receive your Museum Pass starting at 12:00 pm. The workshop will take place in the LIM Studio located next to the Carriage Museum.
