Deco in Style: 100 Years

September 13 @ 1:00 pm

The magnificent decorative arts style known as Art Deco was officially introduced to the world at the Paris Exhibition in 1925. To celebrate its centennial, guest lecturer Amy Benjamin will give an illustrated talk about Deco in architecture, interiors, clothing, jewelry, ocean liners, railroad cars, accessories, and toys of the 1920s.

Enjoy learning about the Deco treasures of Paris, Miami, Los Angeles, and, of course, the greatest Deco city of all: New York!  Visitors are encouraged to explore LIM’s Gatsby at 100 exhibition before or after the event.
