Mornings@LIM – We Are Family!

Mornings@LIM are programs designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of memory loss and their care partners. These free monthly sessions offer time for creative engagement and social connection in our galleries and art studio, as well as through special music and movie programs.

Family is at the heart of our lives – both the families we were born into and the families we create. During this program, we’ll enjoy clips and discussion of films that celebrate those special connections, such as Fiddler on the Roof, Coal Miner’s Daughter, The King & I, and Father of the Bride. Recognizing that movies have the power to spark memories and create connections, this program presents an opportunity to engage in discussion while socializing with others.

The program takes place in the Gillespie Room of the Carriage Museum at the Long Island Museum.
