Once known as the “Potato Capital of the World,” Long Island has a rich history of potato farming dating back to the early 1800s. Join us for some hands-on historical learning about the delicious LI potato, including potato-themed crafts and games. 

Join us in the Studio for a hands-on learning adventure! Try your hand at old-time chores like churning butter and discover what daily life was like in the past. You’ll also have the chance to explore a mini exhibition featuring historic farming tools and household objects from the Museum’s collection.

Please note that some activities will take place outdoors, which will be moved inside in the event of rain.
