Scout Drop-In Day!

April 10 @ 1:00 pm 4:00 pm

Calling all Scouts! Spend the day at the Museum exploring the limited-time exhibitions spotlighting computers, video games, and the creative minds behind the designers who bring digital worlds to life.

Through hands-on activities in the galleries and art-making stations throughout the campus, scouts and their families will gain insight into the process of digital coding and the art of game design.

Highlights:

👾 Design your own wearable retro video game-inspired button.
🕹️ Create a story cube to spark game ideas and character development.
📸 Strike a pose next to a life-size Miles Morales (Spider-Man) costume and a giant  Nintendo Switch!

Game Designer in the Gallery: Meet game designer and Eagle Scout, Brendan Bailey, in the Video Games exhibition’s Unreleased Game section, where he will interact with visitors and share his journey as a game designer. Brendan will also present three 15-minute spotlight talks in Gillespie at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm, offering Scouts and guests the opportunity to learn about his experiences and ask questions. Visitors will also be able to play his new game, Nixie, before it is released to the public.
