The 8th Annual LIMarts Members’ Exhibition, Fragile, will be on view in the Cowles Gallery in the History Museum until December 19, 2021.
Fragile is being sponsored by Maryellen and Michael Lubinsky. Due to their generosity, the LIM is able to waive the usual commission and the artists will receive 100% of the proceeds on any artwork sold. The Museum is committed to promoting and supporting the arts and its artist members. Additional Museum support provided by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
Artists were provided a 12” x 12” gallery panel on which they created their work for the exhibition. After the challenges of 2020, we were eager to invite our artist members back and to give them the opportunity to share their artwork with the community. Over this past year, many of us have felt incredibly vulnerable but we have still managed to see the fragile beauty that is life. Fragile will coincide with the LIM’s two exceptional glass exhibitions; Fire & Form: NewDirections in Glass andTiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light that will feature beautiful, unique and fragile creations.
