Family Irish Music Night

Tap your toes and celebrate the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day with a lively night of traditional Irish music and dance! Join Johnny Cuomo and friends as they bring the joyful sounds of the Emerald Isle to Long Island. This festive event is open to all ages. Light refreshments will be served after the performance.

This performance will take place in the Gillespie Room located in the Carriage Museum.

Non-Member Adult (ages 13–61): $15
Senior (ages 62+): $10

Bookbinding Workshop

Love books? Love to sew? Then this workshop is for you! Join Joan Murray for a hands-on Bookbinding Class where you’ll choose your own materials and binding stitch to create a beautifully crafted book that’s uniquely yours. Perfect for tweens, teens, and adults—and ideal for artists, writers, and DIYers looking to learn a new skill.

Pre-registered participants enjoy complimentary museum admission. Check in at the Visitors Center starting at 12 pm to pick up your Museum Pass and explore LIM’s exhibitions before class.

REGISTRATION

All materials are included with a $5 materials fee, payable in cash or credit card at the door on the day of the workshop.

Video Game Music with the Green Hill Tones

Experience video game music through the ages with a live performance by the Green Hill Tones, featuring beloved themes from classic and modern games such as Sonic the Hedgehog. This concert highlights the evolution of video game soundtracks and showcases the vibrant community of musicians inspired by this genre. Fun for the whole family!

Presented in collaboration with VGM Jams LI and Green Hill Tones.

Video Game Trivia Night! | Free

Do you know your Kirby from your Kratos and your Sephiroth from your Solid Snake? Put your video game knowledge to the test in a boss battle of trivia at LIM with emcee Erika Swyler!

Play solo or in teams. Cosplay and costumes encouraged!  Door prize for best costume and a grand prize for the trivia contest winner.

Junk Journaling Workshop

Get creative in this hands-on workshop where you’ll transform repurposed and found materials—such as old papers, ticket stubs, magazine clippings, fabric scraps, and ephemera—into a one-of-a-kind handmade journal. Junk journaling encourages artistic expression through a playful, non-perfectionist approach to art and memory keeping.

Starter journals and supplies will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own composition book, old planner, blank journal, and any personal ephemera (photos, special papers, fabric scraps, etc.) to customize their journal. Perfect for tweens, teens, and adults looking for a fun way to upcycle old materials.

REGISTRATION

A $5 materials fee is required (payable by cash or credit card at the door; all materials provided). Space is limited; pre-registration is requested.

Visitors who pre-register receive complimentary museum admission to explore LIM’s exhibitions—check in at the Visitors Center to receive your Museum Pass starting at 12:00 pm. The workshop will take place in the LIM Studio located next to the Carriage Museum.
