American Palette: LIMarts Members’ Exhibition

On view November 27 through December 20, 2026

In commemoration of America’s semiquincentennial, we celebrate the creative spirit of artists and the profound role art plays in shaping our identity as Americans. Though we share a nation, each of us brings unique perspectives, experiences, and stories that shape our understanding of the place we call home. This exhibition explores the many ways artists interpret America—from personal memories and the beauty of our surroundings to the histories we revisit, the stories we carry, and the narratives we hope to share with future generations.

Featuring works by more than 100 artists participating in LIMarts, The Long Island Museum’s artist membership level, the exhibition offers a vibrant celebration of Long Island’s creative talent. Many works are available for purchase, providing a wonderful opportunity to support local artists while bringing a meaningful piece of art into your home or office.
